Data Retention
PixlKey is designed to minimise long-term storage of your full-resolution artwork. We keep files only as long as needed to complete processing and give you a fair window to download your outputs.
What we store briefly
For processing and delivery, PixlKey may temporarily store your uploaded source file and the generated outputs (for example: signed master and derivatives, previews, licence/certificate artefacts, and verification assets).
This short-term storage exists so the pipeline can complete reliably and so you have a reasonable opportunity to download the results.
What we may keep longer
To support verification workflows and platform integrity, PixlKey may retain non-reversible identifiers and operational records associated with a work (for example: hashes/fingerprints, processing logs, and account-level metadata required for auditability and support).
PixlKey may also retain small preview artefacts (such as thumbnails) to support library views and record lookups without requiring full-resolution originals.
Your responsibility
- Keep your originals. Treat PixlKey as a processing pipeline, not your only archive.
- Download promptly. Once processing is complete, retrieve your outputs and store them safely.
- Share derivatives. Prefer sharing the outputs you intend for distribution (previews/social sizes), not your private masters.
Retention windows
Exact timelines may vary based on system load, operational needs, and account status, but the guiding principle is: full-resolution uploads and generated deliverables are kept short-term, while identifiers and essential records may be retained longer to support verification, security, and compliance.
If you require deletion of certain data associated with your account, or you have retention requirements tied to organisational policy, contact PixlKey support with the relevant identifiers and details.
